Our programming provides students a platform to network and gain entry to their respective fields. This year’s workshops focus on professional development and postgraduate success. All students who attend the pre-dinner workshops will have the opportunity to receive FREE head-shots from a professional photographer.

He is principal of integrated marketing & social impact firm, 2050 Partners, helping people, organizations and cities stay relevant and connected as demographics, trends and industries shift across the world. He is also founder of Roster Detroit, a digital platform disrupting the status quo of how diverse talent is amplified and connects to opportunities of today and the future.
Ernestine Lyons is an experienced international relations consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the public relations sector. She currently serves as a city council member for the city of Harper Woods.

Ray Cloud is Group Senior Vice President of Loss Prevention, Organizational Safety and Security at Ross Stores Inc. and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Alumni Association.
Dr. Rose Moten (Dr. Rose) is a fully licensed clinical psychologist, author, speaker and life-transformation coach. She is the director of BLOOM Transformation Center, a full-service wellness clinic offering traditional and holistic services to assist others in psychological and emotional well-being.
Tylonn J. Sawyer is an American figurative artist, educator, & curator living and working in Detroit, Michigan. His work centers on themes of identity, both individual & collective, politics, race, history and pop culture. Sawyer is a professor of art at Oakland Community College and teaches drawing at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and started the first teen arts council in Michigan for the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.

Jason Brown is a stock market coach and founder of TheBrownReport.com an online stock market coaching and education website. He also sits on the Board of Visitors for the Mike Ilitch School of Business.
Monique Owens, a former sheriff's deputy and the Eastpointe’s first Black councilwoman. In 2017, Owens made history by becoming Eastpointe's first Black councilwoman. Now just 2 years after changing history, Monique has became the first Black Mayor of the small town. Mayor Owens is currently focused on a platform to create more government-funded youth programs, aimed at troubled teens, and on the calling for additional community policing, to better connect the residents with the schools.
Ron Wood is the Vice President of Business Performance at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and serves as treasurer on ARISE Detroit’s Board of Trustees. He is co-founder and past president of the Wayne State University Black Alumni Association, and a board member of Urban League of Detroit and Southeastern Michigan
