Wayne State University welcomed into CFA Institute University Affiliation Program

Wayne State University has become the latest university to be welcomed into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. The Masters of Science in Finance, Masters of Business Administration concentration in finance and Bachelors of Business Administration concentration in finance in the Mike Ilitch School of Business have all been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the programs. These programs position students well to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, which has become the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world.

Entry into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program signals to potential Ilitch School students, employers and the marketplace that our finance curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well-aligned to prepare students to sit for the CFA examinations. Through participation in this program, Wayne State is eligible to receive ten student scholarships for the CFA Program each year.

Finance can be the most lucrative of all business careers, and the Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University is the perfect training ground. With world-class, award-winning finance faculty and myriad opportunities for internships, mentoring and career networking, graduates of the WSU Department of Finance land positions that run the gamut from security analysis and portfolio management to mergers and acquisitions, commercial banking, corporate finance and more—all the way up to the C-suite.
