The Latino Medical Student Association at Wayne State University School of Medicine is excited to host Mr. Osvaldo Rivera for a spcecial on-campus presentation "An Orientation to Southwest Detroit and Health Considerations". 

Mr. Rivera is a Puerto-Rican native who has lived in southwest Detroit for most of his life. He is a highly regarded social worker, educator, and advocate. He has done great work with numerous non-profit organizations in southwest Detroit for close to five decades and continues to be a great advocate for Latino/a Americans today. 

Currently, Mr. Rivera is a lecturer at the Univeristy of Michigan School of Social Work and part-time faculty here at Wayne State University in the department of Latino/a and Latin American Studies.
