57th Annual Junior Science and Humanities Symposium takes place virtually for the first time 57th Annual Junior Science and Humanities Symposium takes place virtually for the first time  

On Feb. 26, the Wayne State University College of Education hosted the 57th annual Junior Science and Humanities Symposium on Zoom. More than 20 high school students presented their STEM research findings for the opportunity to receive significant scholarships at regional and national levels. WSU College of Education Upward Bound program is open for registration to qualifying students  

College of Education Upward Bound students attend Cesar Chavez Academy and Western International High School in southwest Detroit. The program provides resources and critical tools needed for students to feel confident taking their next steps following high school graduation. From tutoring to campus tours and FAFSA help, they do it all to ensure students will be successful. Learn more here.

Then, we'll travel into space and learn how lunar eclipses, tides and the phases of the moon work. At the end of the show, you'll receive a link to the 30-minute astronomical movie.
