Career pathways survey launched

Career pathways survey launched

All current Ph.D. students have received a survey via email as part of Wayne State's initiative in partnership with Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) to support data collection about Ph.D. careers in STEM and humanities fields. Wayne State will use these data to better prepare our graduates for the 21st century job market. The survey will be open until May 1. Fifty respondents will be randomly selected to receive $25 gift cards from the WSU Graduate School!

2018 Graduate School faculty awards  

Congratulations to 2018 award recipients in the categories of Distinguished Graduate Faculty, Outstanding Graduate Mentor, Outstanding Graduate Director Service, and Competitive GRA! Following the initial announcement, the Graduate School was able to add an additional twenty-one GRA awards, for a total of forty-six GRA awardees, representing an investment of approximately $2 million.

April 20: Doctoral student writing retreat

 

The WSU Graduate School is sponsoring ongoing monthly writing retreats through May 2018 hosted by the Office for Teaching and Learning (OTL) exclusively for doctoral students. An invited speaker will give a brief presentation at noon on topics related to graduate school and academic life. Coffee and lunch will be provided. Details and sign-up under "Training, Seminars, Workshops" in Academica.
