Mattichak joins Vascular Health Clinics

Vascular Health Clinics recently added General and Interventional Cardiologist Stephen J. Mattichak, M.D. to its heart and vascular team.

Mattichak will work alongside the Vascular Health Clinic's team throughout its 10 regional locations.

Mattachak specializes in all aspects of cardiovascular medicine including performing minimally invasive endovascular procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and vascular conditions. Mattichak offers comprehensive cardiovascular care for patients with coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure, heart arrhythmias, peripheral artery disease, stroke risk, lipid disorders and hypertension.

Mattichak is a Michigan native and has provided cardiology and advanced cardiac interventional care in the Great Lakes Bay Region for over 12 years. Aside from advanced cardiac and vascular procedures, Mattichak has a strong passion for medicine, health policy and disease prevention.

Mattichak began his education at Wayne State School of Medicine where he earned his Medical Doctorate (M.D.) degree. He then pursued an internal medicine residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Mattichak went on to complete a fellowship specialization in cardiology and interventional cardiology at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan.

Mattichak is a dedicated father to his children Megan and Sienna, and resides in Midland. His hobbies include kayaking, paddle boarding, cycling, Nordic skiing, fly-fishing, jazz music and travel.

Mattichak will be seeing patients in Bay City, Gladwin, West Branch, Houghton Lake, Marlette, Alma, Mount Pleasant, Midland, Gaylord and Saginaw. He is currently accepting new patients and physician referrals for patients of all insurances including those with no insurance.
